I am a night owl and tend to work best after 5:00pm. Normally, I do not go to bed before one or two o’clock in the morning. Because this is my most productive time of the day, this is the time I choose to work from home. However, I realize not all work from home jobs are so accommodating. The best home base business for me must be able to be done in the evening or late night hours.
The next letter in the acronym SELL SISTER stands for Time of Day. What time of day are you most productive? Can you only work limited hours of the day? These are very important questions to consider when choosing the best home base business for you. If you are like me and can only work in the evening or night hours, then a job that requires making phone calls would not be good for you. Work from home jobs that tend to require interaction with other individuals are best done during the normal working hours of 9:00am-5:00pm.
Don’t be too concerned, however. There are still plenty of job opportunities for someone who wants to work non-traditional hours. Home based businesses that don’t require as much day-to-day interaction are good for these entrepreneurs. One job that fits the criteria is writing/blogging. I try to write my blogs in the evenings so they are posted and available to my readers by the following morning. I don't need to talk with fellow co-workers or clients in order to write. All I need to do is get my projects done by their deadlines and make sure my blogs are posted on time. Jobs like this that require little to no interaction are great for night owls.
If you are a more traditional entrepreneur, a job in sales or research could be a good fit. Those types of jobs require more interaction with clients and employers and are best done during working hours. So what kind of worker are you? Are you an early riser or night owl? If you are either of those extremes you may want to consider this a factor when deciding what is the best home based business for you.
